This is one of Trisha's best! The story is very unusual and some unusual characters too.
Tabby is rescued by Mercy, a Quaker, and taken to her home to help rejuvenate Mercy's family's cracker factory. Tabby has a cat called Pye, who, for me, was one of the stars of the book - such a funny cat! The insight into the Quakers was very interesting to me as well.
I loved the background story of Emily as well - I'm crossing all my fingers that her story will continue in another Sticklepond story!
Randal was sheer genius. Ostensibly stubborn, rude and judgmental, but the chapters dedicated to his point of view really changed my opinion of him!
This is a gorgeous, gentle Christmas read. I may well read it again just before Christmas to really get myself in the mood! Thank you, Trisha :)
